OUR NEXT CLASS IS ON MONDAY NOV 30th at 1pm. Your homework due on our next class:

2 Line Drawings of ONE of your characters from one of your 3 groups: Mercs, Enforcement, Indigen
-Value is optional, but preferred. This will help you get a sense of what is happening value wise with your character before you paint.
- Each line drawing should showcase a different costume look. Consider how that costume look relates to the change in your character i.e. Luke Skywalker's farmer boy outfit vs his jedi in training outfit
-Each line drawing can have the same pose but consider changing it up to give your character a different feel. Again changing the pose and/or facial expression is optional but preferred.
-Your character MUST resemble a well-known actor. Please cast your character as this will act as a reference for your character's facial features as well as his/her body type.
-At least one main prop like a weapon should be included in your design.

Mid-Term Assignment: Side(kick) of Betrayal

One finished piece of character concept art of a "sidekick" that will turn on or betray your hunter character. Sidekick should feel alive and sell a personality, outfit, and ideally, a story.
- Sidekick must be human or humanoid. No creatures, objects, pets....
- Please show the character from head-to-toe. No cropping.
- Sidekick must be lit and colored.
- Background must be affected by the lighting as well. No flat or white backgrounds please. Background can be ambiguous or soft focus.
- Sidekick character must resemble or reference a well known or A-list actor.
- Sidekick must include at least one prop like a weapon of some sort. Consider personalizing this weapon or prop.
- Please label the image with your name, title, etc.

Things to consider for your sidekick:
What is his/her purpose? Is he/she an apprentice? An assistant? A mentor?
Contrast: How are your sidekick's shape different or similar to your Hunter's?
Contrast: How similar or different is your sidekick's outfit from your Hunter's?
Should the lighting be the same? Should the colors be similar?
